New Year's Resolutions from a dog's perspective

#1 Do better at "holding it" until morning
When nature calls, I'll steel my resolve to wait for my normal morning walk, unless special considerations apply. I'll decide what those special considerations are.

#2 Introduce myself in more appropriate ways

I'll focus above the waist when introducing myself to humans. I get the feeling my normal greeting methods invade their private space.

#3 Don’t bite the vet anymore
I'll remember that the vets and nurses are just trying to help in their own, inscrutable way, although they really know how to push my buttons with those needles!

#4  Eat less and exercise more
Too many nights on the couch, too many dog biscuits and too little time exercising has made me a little, well, bigger. I don\'t think the old "I'm-just-big-boned" excuse will work anymore. I resolve to bug my owners to take me out to the forest every day.

#5 Give up the dream of ever catching my tail

#6 Bark like a big dog but still get cuddled like a puppy

#7 Find every bone I ever buried

#8 Become alpha dog in my house. Well, at least stop letting the cat push me around

#9 Get my owners on the floor, get me on their bed
